Automatic transmissions afford the driver greater comfort based on precision manufacturing of the parts and perfect harmony of functioning. This has partly to do with the bearing-rings that house the clamping parts for the freewheel.
These machined bearing-rings can be made of various materials including lead-free alloys. Parts made of Wieland-G07 (PDF, 27 KB) have proven to be successful for this.
