CuZn37 brass tubes are generally used for the manufacture of curtain rods. Wieland supplies these tubes in drawn temper.
CuZn37 has excellent cold working properties and our tubes can easily be formed to their final shape by bending, stamping, riveting or crimping. This alloy has excellent mechanical and electrolytic polishing properties and can also be easily plated or coated. For example, a silvery colour can be achieved through chrome plating or the surface can be lacquered to protect it against tarnishing.
Special surface finish requirements
Both round and sectional tubes are available in "furniture quality". These products have a special outer surface quality which is achieved through special processing and handling during cold working, storage, packaging and transportation.
Production programme
Wieland offers brass tubes with outside diameters between 20 and 80 mm and wall thicknesses between 0.5 and 2.0 mm from stock in temper R440 ("hard") according to EN 12449.
