CuZn37 brass is widely used for the manufacture of brass lamps and fittings both for interior and exterior use. Wieland produces round tubes as well as sectional tubes which can be supplied in drawn or soft temper, depending on which processing method our customer uses.
CuZn37 has excellent cold working properties and our tubes can easily be formed to their final shape by bending, stamping, riveting or crimping. This alloy has excellent mechanical and electrolytic polishing properties and can also be easily plated or coated. For example, a silvery colour can be achieved through chrome plating or the surface can be lacquered to protect it against tarnishing.
Sectional tubes used for lamps are generally made from round tubes and their wall thickness is therefore uniform over the entire cross-section.
