Wieland-S39 (CuZn40Mn2Fe1) architectural bronze sections for facades and interiors have a matt, bronze-coloured surface. Compared to anodized aluminium the colour of Wieland-S39 is warm and looks from a distance almost like wood. For the last few years, architects have increasingly tended to select this alloy as facade material for large projects, e.g. Deutsche Bank Hamburg.
Due to its good hot working properties, Wieland-S39 is also suitable for complex sections with thin walls. In terms of colour, this alloy is normally combined with Wieland-M15 (CuZn15) architectural brass sheets. As the bright sheets become darker with time, the surface colours of sections and sheets gradually merge.
