Copper - a leading element in electrical engineering

Copper is essential in electrical engineering - not just because of its outstanding conductivity but also due to its corrosion resistance, strength and formability. Wieland adapts the delivery form to the way in which the products undergo further processing, depending on the application and the requirement.

Applications of our products

Rolled, extruded and drawn products are the main products that are used in electrical engineering.

Among other things, our customers process the products in the form of:

  • Lead frames for semiconductor elements
  • Connectors for telecommunications and vehicle electrics
  • High-frequency and underwater cables
  • Transformers

Wieland manufactures in accordance with customer and product requirements

We provide many different options for individually specifying our products that make optimum and cost-efficient further processing possible. For example: traverse-wound strip, hot-dip tinned finishes, MULTICOIL® and special packaging.
