Fuel cells

Fuel cells are not only used in alternatively powered vehicles, but as an environmentally friendly energy source they are also suitable for stationary applications. Fuel cells produce electricity and heat by combining hydrogen and oxygen in an electrochemical process.

Pure copper is an excellent conductor of both types of energy - heat and electricity.

The following Wieland copper grades are typically used:
K09 (PDF, 50 KB)
K12 (PDF, 55 KB)
K14 (PDF, 55 KB)
K15 (PDF, 50 KB)
K19 (PDF, 50 KB)
K32 (PDF, 51 KB)
K81 (PDF, 46 KB)
Strip is available in a wide range of thicknesses from approx. 0.6 mm to 2.0 mm for an equally wide range of applications such as busbars, stamped grids, connectors, etc.
