cuproclima®

Quality standard for coiled copper tubes in the refrigeration and air-conditioning industries

cuproclima is a Wieland quality standard (factory standard) for high-quality seamless copper tubes with smooth or finned interior in long coiled rings for refrigeration and air-conditioning engineering.

Its quality and testing features exceed the existing requirements of international standards (e.g. EN 12735-2, ASTM/ASME).

cuproclima performance features Customer benefit
maximum of 3 black marks per 100kg of coil - longer run time for machines when uncoiling tubes
- reduced waste in the finished products
increase of the minimum weight per coil, from 50% of the nominal weight up to now, to 70% - reduced machine set-up time
reduction of the calibration drilling for the eddy current, from at least 0.6mm up to now, to 0.4mm - detection of even fewer surface defects on the tubes
- reduced possible malfunction of finished equipment when pressure testing
improved internal cleanliness of the tubes - fewer impurities in the circulation of refrigerant

For particularly high demands on internal cleanliness and residual carbon content we also offer tubes in "Super Clean" quality.

To assist with simpler flushing of copper tubes, Wieland offers a flushing and handling system.
