solarclean®

Copper tube for the production of solar heat absorbers in level-wound coils and straight lengths

In the production of absorbers for solar collectors, seamless copper tubes are welded using copper or aluminium sheets.

In the ultrasound welding process of solar absorbers in particular, a very clean tube surface is required to ensure the high quality of the welded seam between the copper tube and the absorber sheet.

With solarclean manufacturing processes, such a clean surface is required that when manufacturing the absorber, depending on the production process, at least one cleaning stage or labour-intensive pre-treatment of the components to be connected can be dispensed with.

Benefits for absorber manufacturers

  • A higher welding speed is possible compared with traditionally manufactured copper tubes
  • Reduced cleaning costs during the production process for the absorbers
  • Precludes expensive pre-treatment of the welding seam
  • Less waste
